Another item from Country Artifacts, Great Northern Liquidation, Springfield, Vermont. Antique Faux Decorated Art Nouveau Shadow Box Picture Frame Curio Display Case. Deep well picture frame with 2 shelf cabinet behind.

The frame is thought to be from about the late Victorian Period (1890s) through Art Nouveau period (about 1910), with a box added to the back more recently. Outside dimensions: 14-3/8" high x 12-1/4" wide x 5-3/8 deep overall.

Inside frame dimensions: 9-5/8" high x 7-1/2" wide, less 1/4" for rabbet makes this frame for about 9-3/8 x 7-1/4" glass. The box in back is 11-3/4" high x 9-1/2" x 3-3/4 deep behind the frame. The frame is faux decorated with a granite finish on the outer molding with black borders, mustard yellow trim comes next, then another faux finish featuring leaves, then the inner frame is gold gilt with a kind of fine scroll decoration faintly.

The box in back is gold painted which allows the wood grain to show through. The box has a hanging loop at the top. Condition is great with minor chipping and wear found here and there as shown. Unpacked weight & size: 3.45, 15x12x6. Packed weight & size: 8, 19x16x10.
