Vintage letterpress wood type printing blocks alphabet letters in display case

  
This is collection of retro, vintage or antique letterpress wood type of various size and shapes, all put together to create the alphabet. The type drawer serves as a frame and holder for the letters and I've put a piece of clear plastic on the front to protect them from falling out so that they can be displayed on a bookcase, mantle piece or with the right fittings it could be attached to the wall. It weights 2.4kg so is heavy.

All the letters have been used to print different posters and I've carefully cleaned them, leaving some colour here and there to add interest. The wood has been fed with oil. If you have a Kindle you may have noticed one of their wallpapers using a similar image. I think this would make a good present for a creative, perhaps a graphic or web designer like me! Or someone that uses typography in their work or hobby.
