Antique Swiss Black Forest Wood Carving POCKETWATCH DISPLAY CASE c1920 Brienz Fruit Relief. It is carved from wood in Swiss Black Forest style showing a pear? And leaves on top in high relief, pointillism background, and beautiful small-scalloped edge.

We see beautifully carved flowers inside, as well. It dates to circa 1920. The hinged lid opens forward to reveal storage for the pocket watch, velvet lined, and then folds further back to act as a stand or display.

This was carved in Brienz, Switzerland by a master carver of the day, but never circulated, and remained stored for nearly one century. We call this "new/old/unsold" stock. This measures 4 1/4" tall, 2 5/8" wide, and 1 1/4 thick. The circle at pocket watch storage is 2" diameter and 1/2" deep.
