Ceramic Bug Art Dragonfly Moth Insects Bugs Art Pottery in Wood Display Case
Set of Fifteen Ceramic Art Pottery Insect Sculptures in Shades of Blue with Green and Lighter Colors and Gold Gilt Accents. The fifteen insects, which I think are dragon flies and moths, are attached to a cream color canvas pad inside a nice wooden display case with glass top, hinged lid, and two brass hook clasp closures with nice patina. The back of the box has two hangers for display on wall. For scale, the large blue dragonfly to the upper right measures 5 inches long X 6 1/2 inches wide; the largest moth under him measures 3 inches long X 7 inches wide with the others of varying sizes, each individually created. A paper label printed with Manus Insecta is attached to the fabric liner. No signatures are visible on the pieces. The box measures 19 inches long X 16 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches thick and weighs 7 pounds, 9.8 ounces by my postal scale. The wood box has a natural finish and slightly rustic look. There is no damage noted to box. Three of the smaller moths are each missing one wing. It is an incredibly beautiful and unusual collection to display. A similar piece with beetles is also listed in my store.
