This listing is for the old Boye needle and shuttle display case with needles and shuttles in their wooden cases that you see in the photos. There are various patent dates on it that you can see in the photos. It appears to be original.

The inside that holds the needle cases rotates freely when the door is closed. It does not rotate when the door is open which is how it was designed. The diameter of the case measures close to 16 inches diameter. It is close to 3 ½ inches thick. The case weighs close to 5 pounds 10 ounces.

My counts might be very slightly off because I did not double check my work. 3 are empty and do not have lids. 3 have lids but no needles. 1 has something that looks like tiny barbells that you can see in a photo. 2 have 4 needles each. 11 have 4 needles each. The rest of them except the ones with stuck lids have 3 needles each. There are needles in the ones with stuck lids but I do not know how many.

The number of each of the numbered wooden cases and how many with stuck lids are as follows. 12 # 12 with 4 stuck lids. 4 # 27 with 0 stuck lids. 11# 8 with 0 stuck lids.

5 # 20 with 2 stuck lids. 6 # 14 with 2 stuck lids. 4 # 16 with 1 stuck lids. 6 # 18 with 1 stuck lids. 7 # 10 with 2 stuck lids.

2 # 23 with 1 stuck lids. 3 # 24 with 0 stuck lids.

4 # 6 with 4 stuck lids. 3 # 16 with 1 stuck lids. 6 # 2 1/2 with 4 stuck lids.

4 # 2 with 0 stuck lids. 3 # 26 with 0 stuck lids.

5 # 4 with 0 stuck lids. 2 # 2 with 0 stuck lids. 1 # 21 with 4 stuck lids. 2 # unknown with 0 stuck lids.

5 with shuttles with 0 stuck lids. 3 empty with no lids. I did not apply a great deal of pressure or time in trying to open the ones with stuck lids. More effort might open some if not all of them.

The condition is much like you see it in the 14 photos after the general description. It shows some wear and some soil. There are a couple of marks on the sliding door. I have not tried to clean it. There is one small dent near the edge of the top near the M in Machine.

If you look closely, you should be able to see it in the photos. There is some information on a bit of paper taped to the side.

The wooden cases have varying amount of light soil and some have stuck lids. One shuttle shows some oxidation while another shuttle has a small spot of oxidation. The needles are mostly in excellent condition. I only made a quick inspection of the needles. Otherwise, this case and wooden cases and needles are generally fine and as shown.

My photos should give you a good idea of their general condition. I guarantee this vase to be as described and represented by the photos. The photos are part of the description.

Please look at all of them. Please know that the lighting in my photos is uneven and that there might be shadows or reflections. The colors on my monitor look close to but not exactly like the actual colors. Different monitors may show different colors.

I often say that an item measures or weighs close to because in my opinion no measurements are exact and some things are difficult to measure. Often, I have a custom made box for larger items and that can result in a short delay. When I use packing peanuts, they are usually biodegradable. Sometimes, I recycle used boxes. 14 photos should load with this listing.
