Vintage Willem II Cigars Shop Tabaconist Display Case Quirky Frame Memory Box

  

The case measures 38.5cm wide x 33cm tall x 4.5cm deep. It can sit flat on a counter or it can be stood up on the legs to better face the customer. This is a charming old case which has the prices inside still, one of which is for 8d which would suggest that the unit is pre 1971.

It has a label on the back announcing that it remains property of the Anglo Dutch Cigar Company and may only be used to display Willem II Cigars. Mementos from a holiday or honeymoon perhaps? The frame is unfortunately damaged in two places and half of it can be removed as can the glass, it however does seem secure enough when the clasps are closed on the top. I would honestly keep this myself but my 2 kids with endless curiosity would have it in pieces on the floor in mere minutes!

You can see I have loaded it with a few trinkets in one of the pictures just to show its deep enough to display various bits and bobs, none of those pictured are included though.
