HOLLOWAY ELASTIC Wood Glass General Store Hinged Display Case, Reverse Painted

Antique circa 1900 mercantile store counter display case with "HOLLOWAY ELASTIC" done in reverse painting on the sloped hinged top. Oak and glass 18-1/2" x 7-1/2" x 6-1/4. The metal dividers inside were made to keep the stock separated and upright with the measurement sizes marked along the inside edge of box. The original felt pads are still on the corners to protect lid when closing.

The reverse-painted "Holloway Elastic" is in excellent condition - no peeling. All in all, it's in very good condition, with expected wood wear for it's age. More wear on left side panel, both in area of missing stain color and a crack (see photos for details).
